These are from 21 Road near Grand Junction CO. This is an old
well service road that washed out and was abandoned, now it's a
pretty good 'wheelin trail.
There is some pretty nasty terrain in there now, I felt like I
was driving with one tire in the air all day long.
The
shot below is one of a couple of tip overs for the day,
the others just fell against a rock wall, this one was
still on the tires (or wheels maybe) but so off camber
and downhill that I lost oil pressure and shut the motor
down. Probably could have messed with it a bit and
driven out but didn't see much use in roasting the motor
proving the point.
We
didn't think to armor the steering wheel when we built
this thing! Another way to look at this is that it's a
good reason to have door bars, that rock could have been
all the way inside.
